Face It is a membership community for developing conflict management skills through deliberate practice.

Face It Meeting Structure

Introductions

Members in attendance begin by introducing themselves, and briefly discussing their goals for the session.

Fun Activity

The facilitator will lead a small activity to get the group comfortable and warmed up. They will also introduce the learning topic for the session.

Conflict Shaping

Participants can bring a conflict from their own lives, past or future, or choose from the theoretical scenarios in the Face It knowledge repository. All participants will go through reflection, writing down the key aspects of the conflict.

Paired Scenarios

In smaller groups, members will explain their chosen scenario and act it out, simulating the emotions, potential interactions, and communication required to successfully navigate the situation. The group provides feedback on the interaction, and gives advice for ways to improve and resolve/mitigate the conflict.

Group Scenario

Members interested in more comprehensive feedback can request to role-play in front of the larger group. The group observes and gives feedback on the interaction.

Reflection

The larger group will reflect together on the session and share any key takeaways and learnings. The facilitator will make any announcements, and refreshments may be served.
